- Work with community partners on a variety of projects including speed watch, distracted driving, public awareness and education campaigns, special events & projects with local police agencies, ICBC, fire and much more
- Report stolen vehicles and license plates
- Observe and report on suspicious activity in communities within the City of Surrey

- Reading Buddies: Become a Big Buddy with Reading Buddies. Applications open twice a year in spring and fall for teens aged 14-18.
- Teen Library Council: Join the Teen Library Council to become a youth ambassador for the library. Applications open once a year in summer for teens aged 13-18.
- Teen Read & Review: Earn volunteer hours by reading and reviewing books!
- Adult Literacy Tutoring: Become an adult literacy tutor with the Learn with a Friend Community Adult Literacy Program. Volunteers provide literacy/numeracy tutoring and support to adult learners on a one-to-one basis. Must be 19 years or older and have excellent English language skills.
- Home Delivery Volunteers: Help deliver library materials to homes and care centers, working cooperatively with seniors and persons with special needs.
- Volunteers who serve in our Equine-Assisted Therapy Services have the opportunity to assist with side-walking, leading the horses, grooming and tacking, as well as assisting with mounting and dismounting riders. Volunteer shifts are available 6 days a week and all necessary training is provided.
